An exciting opportunity for an Assistant Director of Perioperative Services just became available in the Greater Los Angeles Area.

The Assistant Director Surgical Services will join this 400+ bed nonprofit community medical center. The hospital received American Heart Association/American Stroke Association’s Get With The Guidelines Stroke Bronze Quality Achievement Award. It has regularly been voted as one of the Best Hospitals in the Valley by the Los Angeles Daily News. The Assistant Director of Perioperative Services will join a health system that offers continual growth and opportunity to develop throughout one’s career.

Reporting to the Director of Perioperative Services, the Assistant Director of Perioperative Services will oversee 9 Operating Rooms, Endoscopy, PACU and recovery rooms. The department also has an Open heart program. This person will perform clinical and administrative operations in a fast-paced department with state-of-the-art equipment and a supportive medical and support staff. The Assistant Director of Perioperative Services will be supported by a team of outstanding CNOR certified nurses that include 1 nurse supervisor, 2 Charge Nurses and 60 Staff RNs.

The Assistant Director's responsibilities will include developing and supporting educational initiatives, serving as a mentor to new leaders, and being a champion for quality improvement throughout the department. The Assistant Director of Perioperative Services will also take on administrative duties in the department, including oversight and maintenance of the budget, recruitment and retention of staff, and this person will oversee operations.
