Job Description
The NwOESC will provide support and guidance for the classroom teacher to serve in the role of an intervention specialist. We will also assist the successful candidate in exploring a route to obtaining an intervention specialist license.
DESCRIPTION:
- Serve as a classroom teacher for students with disabilities.
- Communicate high expectations for students and show an active interest in their progress
- Demonstrate ability to motivate and support students to achieve goals
- Provide differentiated instruction
- Ability to provide guidance and direction to paraprofessionals
- Work effectively as a team member with related service providers and paraprofessionals
- Interact positively and professionally with students, families, and educators
- Utilize positive behavior supports and interventions with students
LOCATION: NwOESC Classrooms in Defiance, Henry, Fulton, or Williams County (Location and Grade Levels TBD)
CONTRACT: Per School Calendar, beginning in the 2023-24 school year
BENEFITS: Paid sick leave and personal days. Health, dental, vision, and life insurance are available if working over 25 hours/week. Membership in the STRS retirement system.
