Hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs)

Direct Support Professionals assist people with disabilities with daily needs. No experience necessary. Training provided.

JOB DETAILS:

• Schedule:
  • Tuesday 3:00 - 6:30 PM
  • Wednesday 3:00 - 6:30 PM
  • Thursday 3:00 - 6:30 PM
  
  

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Picking up our client from his home in Farmington Tuesday through Thursday at 3:00 PM
• Engaging clients in fun and fulfilling activities in the community (ie. basketball at the rec center, visits to the library, special olympics activities, movie going, bowling, etc.)
• Get to know our client's likes and dislikes
• Be willing to talk about sports
• Aiding clients with things like nutrition, hygiene, exercise, communication, socialization, etc
• Documenting shift activities
• Documenting client progress
• Transporting our client in your personal vehicle
• Following all health and safety protocols required by Friends4Life and the state of Utah
  
• Supporting and upholding client's legal rights by observing the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
• Becoming properly trained and certified as the job requires (CPR Certification required)

JOB PERKS:

• Gain experience working with individuals with disabilities
• CPR/First Aid Certification
• Mileage reimbursement of .25¢ per mile while transporting clients.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Applicants must be 18+ years of age at the time of hiring
• Valid driver’s license or government-issued photo ID
• Clean driving record
• Valid Social Security Card
• Pass criminal background screening
