Kraft Heinz Avon, NY Manufacturing Facility – Location Overview

Located in upstate New York (one hour from Buffalo and 30 minutes from Rochester), the Kraft Heinz - Avon Plant offers opportunities for growth and development for its nearly 400 engaged employees, proudly making Oscar Mayer - Lunchables and every Cool Whip product sold in the United States.

Ammonia/Boiler Utility Technician/Operator- $25.00-$38.00 per hour depending on experience and licenses. Plus shift diff and annual tool allowance.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct all maintenance and repairs of facility compressed air systems, roof top HVAC, low and high pressure steam systems, ammonia refrigeration systems, fire system, plant heating and air conditioning systems and other mechanical systems across site.
• Operate facility ammonia refrigeration systems and steam systems.
• Read, interpret and apply sketches, prints, and operating instructions.
• Use cutting and welding equipment, both gas and electrical.
• Use hand and power tools and other instruments applicable to the trade.
• Fabricate parts to perform maintenance repairs.
• Perform basic diagnostic analysis of electrical circuits on all systems assigned to the position.
• Must become a member of the facility’s Emergency Response Team.

Production Line Technician- $22.54-$26.73 per hour depending on experience. Plus shift diff and annual tool allowance.

Job Responsibilities:

• Knowledgeable and capable of performing sanitation, line setup, start-up, adjustment and operation of equipment, proper shutdown & changeover as required to Kraft Heinz standards and to minimize downtime
• Perform all required quality testing/checks and complete all required documentation for line operations: Quality (Quality Suites), Sanitation, Safety, etc.
• Responsible for troubleshooting and repair of all equipment, planned and unplanned
• Assist Maintenance Leads with basic electrical equipment troubleshooting and maintain/improve electrical control systems
• Utilize maintenance windows to coordinate routine and non-routine activities on assigned equipment in order to ensure safety, product quality and optimum line efficiency. Will work across shifts and functions as needed to effectively operate as a team
• Complete and document preventive maintenance inspections on assigned line as assigned by the Maintenance Lead. Recommend and implement continuous improvement on equipment/systems design

Production Mechanic- $22.54-$26.73 per hour depending on experience. Plus shift diff and annual tool allowance.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform the duties within the Packaging Maintenance function with minimum supervision.
• Adhere to department GMP’s policy / procedures.
• Maintain records pertinent to equipment performance, necessary repairs and downtime via PM’s, SAP work requests, utilizing PC based systems.
• Communicate with the Supervisor as to product changeover and any other information necessary to insure the specified degree of quality and efficiency.
• Recognize and record any unusual condition or defective equipment via SAP Protocol.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work areas to insure the specified degree of cleanliness and sanitation standards.
• Observe all safety rules, policy, precautions and practices to insure the safety of self and others.

Most positions require overtime, weekend work and working on holidays. Shifts vary by position. Uniforms and work boots are provided.
