POSITION: Respiratory Therapist

TYPE: Part-Time

PAY: $38-$44 per hour

LOCATION: Tampa FL

POSITION SUMMARY:

The registered Respiratory Therapists will be responsible for independently utilizing current respiratory care administration and monitoring practices in accordance with physician's orders. As a critical part of our patient care team you will collaborate with physicians, registered nurses, and Licensed practical nurses to provide superior quality of care. ESSESNTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Evaluating and recommending a treatment plan of care to allow consumers to reach maximum performance levels
• Responsible for documentation of consumer's evolution including evaluation reports on consumer's progress
• Operate various types of oxygen and other therapeutic gas and mist inhalation equipment
• Establish and maintain effective interpersonal relationships with the consumer, the consumer’s family, work team and all levels of the organization
• Provide education and consultation to healthcare staff in support of end-user education needs in the healthcare setting
• Assess customer needs and assist with resolving issues stemming from lack of medical device knowledge or understanding of the particular product
• Assist in the delivery of medical device-related in-service education to support key customers
• Follow-up with staff to assess unmet education and clinical needs as it relates to successful medical device implementation

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

• Education Successful completion of an accredited program for Respiratory Care.
• Experience Two years of experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Licensure Current State of Florida Registered Respiratory Therapist licensure
• Certifications BLS and ACLS required
• Training of Staff
