WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Supervise and dispatch mover/driver teams daily; coordinate employee scheduling and truck assignments
- Complete various dispatch duties, including: performance audits during moves to ensure safety and customer satisfaction, vehicle inspections, and paperwork audits
- Lead by example in performance, attitude, attendance and work ethic; responsible for team development and motivation
- Determine staffing requirements, interview, hire, and oversee new employee onboarding and training
- Coordinate and direct fleet maintenance and equipment inventory; ensure trucks and equipment are maintained in a clean, safe, and professional manner
- Promote safety and uphold safety procedures and policies; ensure compliance with all DOT regulations and FMCSA guidelines
- Responsible for employee development, accountability and corrective action programs
- Responsible for being an “on-call” emergency contact outside of normal business hours
- All other duties as assigned
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- High school diploma or GED required, some college preferred
- Management, business, or other relevant experience is required
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
- Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and random drug screens
- Must be willing to work Saturday’s and one Sunday a month
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written)
- Demonstrated ability to lead by example to motivate, develop and direct people
- Ability to assess the performance of self, employees and franchise to make improvements or take corrective action
- Strong decision making ability
- Basic truck/vehicle knowledge
- Experience in the fields of general labor, management, non-CDL transportation, landscaping, construction, project management, logistics, production, manufacturing, assembly, factory or warehouse helpful
