Responsible for all recycle operations

Manage all facets of Recycled Construction Aggregates business that encompasses more than 1.0 million tons of product, multiple locations, crushing operations, trucking, sales, and new product development.

Overseeing proper implementation of all safety procedures includingsite safety programs and compliance, all training records, safety meetings and established safety procedures.

Maximize profitability between acceptance of inbound material and sale of recycled products

Plan, schedule and direct the acceptance and processing of quality recycle aggregates for internal and external customers.

Control costs to meet budgets and reduce costs to achieve savings.

Identify deficiencies and implement a plan for continuous improvement.

Effectively manage staff by setting clear performance objectives, providing regular feedback and development through training.

Manage trucking related to hauling returned concrete from satellite plants – scheduling and monitoring truck performance.

Determine where trucks will haul, consider over all costs for outside dumps vs. in house locations.

Set up monitoring process for trucking, plant rubble inventories, finish product inventories, and sales.

Manage inventories levels – CMB, CCA, RAP and concrete blocks in each plant.

Coordinate crushing needs and where portable plants need to be located.

Manage the day-to-day operations of the portable plants, to include production, maintenance, and personnel.

Communicate with QC department to guarantee quality of the finished product.

Coordinate outside crushing companies when necessary.

Coordinate with sales department and dispatch on sales.

Ensure concrete blocks are made at each plant and communicate inventories levels to sales department.

Ensure all plants stay environmentally compliant with regards to rubble, muck and track-out.

Stay up to date on recycle products used in the industry. Look at new products and outlets.

Develop and maintain dashboard for monitoring performance.

Existing sites include Upland, San Bernardino, Palmdale, and Mojave. Assess opportunities at other locations in Los Angeles.

Work to influence local jurisdictions (City, County, State) for wider acceptance of recycled materials in construction aggregate applications.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $115,000.00 - $155,000.00 per year
