Outreach Specialist
Job description
Radin Consulting, a transportation planning and engineering firm with offices in Newark, NJ, and NYC, is seeking a full-service Public Outreach Specialist experienced in leading and managing public outreach initiatives. The role will require engagement with elected officials, governmental agencies, stakeholders, businesses, special interest groups, etc. Territory includes NJ, NYC, parts of upstate NY, and Long Island. The position is hybrid with on-location work when needed. Salary will be based on qualifications and experience, and a generous benefits package will be included. All candidates must be fully vaccinated and boosted for Covid-19.Note: A general salary range is provided; salary will be adjusted up or down based on type and length of required work experience.
Typical Tasks:
· Develop and implement public outreach initiatives – this includes developing/preparing a Public Participation Plan and Outreach Strategy
· Organize Events – this includes setting up all the logistics, sending out mailing notifications, and participating in events.
· Facilitate informational workshops and presentations
· Prepare content for meetings and distribution
· Prepare meeting notes and any reports/analysis required
· Effectively interact with the public
· Prepare content for website, update on website, e-blasts, and other communications
Requirements:
· 5+ years in public outreach
· BS in communications and/or public relations or related field
· Superior oral and written communication and analytical skills
· Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel
· Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
· Ability to work in a collaborative, flexible, team-oriented, deadline-driven environment
· Experience using social media and other forms of written communication to market events, conduct outreach, graphics, etc.
· Adobe Creative Suite experience with emphasis on InDesign, Photoshop, and Acrobat Pro a plus
· Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
