South Holland Bakery Supply Company, founded in 1972, is a full-service bakery supply company based in Crete, Illinois (about 40 minutes south of downtown Chicago) We are proud to offer over 4,500 unique bakery products to our customer base, which includes wholesale bakeries, grocery stores, retail bakeries and restaurants. Our family-oriented approach has allowed us to continually develop long term, valuable relationships with our clients and has proven to be a pivotal aspect in the continued success we have today.
We have an exciting opportunity and are in search of an Outside Sales Representative for the General South Bend, Goshen, Shipshewana area, to also include Ft. Wayne & Surrounding Area.
Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities:
This is an outside sales position responsible for promoting the company's products and services and for building relationships with new and existing accounts.
· Provide on-site sales and consultation for our customers, including accurately entering, reviewing and transmitting customer orders.
- Calculate margins; prepare estimates and bids using company pricing models to meet specific customer needs.
- Understand, explain and implement company credit policies and terms with customers.
- Identify prospective customers and new opportunities within existing accounts
- Monitor market conditions, product innovations and competitors’ products, prices and sales.
- Perform administrative duties (keeping sales records/filing expense reports)
- Developing new clients, increasing purchases and margin from existing accounts
- Ensure CRM (Customer Relationship Management) and sales goals are communicated. Ensure all sales quality and safety standards are continuously followed according to company standards.
Qualifications:
· Prefer someone with working knowledge of Bakery products, raw materials and supplies
· Prefer someone with working knowledge of food service and bakery operations
· Motivated self-starter able to work independently without direct daily supervision
· Possess an outgoing, consultative personality
· Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with co-workers and customers
· Must possess strong negotiating skills and the ability to understand and calculate margins
· Valid Driver's License
