Overview:
Assist the Director, Training Center Operations with administrative and front desk responsibilities, ensuring the smooth operation of Player Development facilities and players. This position is designated as "on-site" and requires the employee to be at the office site to complete the required tasks associated with the position
Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Director, Training Center Operations, in performing clerical functions including typing, filing, handling of incoming and outgoing department correspondence, program forms, maintaining player files, updating AMS System, maintaining player database, copying and other daily clerical duties
  • Concierge duties to include outstanding customer service, coordinating the overall player experience at the National Campus from start to finish
  • Monitor and control guest access with regards to Player Development entry. Administer player and guest check-in for Player Development with full knowledge of policies and procedures. Maintaining the overall appearance and cleanliness of the check-in and front office area.
  • Be able to direct guests to various areas within the Home of American Tennis.
  • Assist in the organization of events conducted at the USTA Training Center (camps, meetings, competitions, etc.).
  • Maintain communication with coaches and admin; scheduling of courts
  • Communicate verbally and in writing with other USTA staff and customers as directed by the Director, Training Center Operations
  • Administrative duties as they relate to the USTA national training program
  • Assist Manager, Coach and Player Services with camp/trips administrative support
Qualifications:
  • Excellent customer service.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent command of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent writing skills and ability to draft correspondence.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of management.
  • Professional demeanor.
  • Ability to work flexible hours on short notice to include nights, weekends, and holidays is required
  • A valid driver’s license and clean driving history
  • Experience working with/supervising youth.
