Job description

Busy law firm seeks full-time paralegal with at least three (3) years of defense litigation experience.

Key duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:

- Assist several attorneys.

- Review and analyze discovery documents, case materials, and correspondence.

- Draft legal documents including third party summons and complaints, notice of appearance, discovery responses, discovery demands, subpoenas, stipulations, consents to change attorneys, notice of entry, and other legal documents and correspondence.

- Assist with depositions.

- Obtain and maintain medical and other records.

- Coordinate investigations, expert examinations, and inspections.

- Organize and maintain file documents.

- Assist with motions and exhibits.

- E-file documents with NYSCEF and PACER.

- Assist with pre-trial and trial preparation.

Competencies:

Applicants should possess the following:

• Strong oral and written communication and organization skills;

• Prioritization skills with the ability to multi-task;

• Ability to work well in a fast paced environment;

• Attention to detail;

• Experience in Microsoft office; and

• Experience in Prolaw is a bonus.

Qualifications:

• Paralegal Certificate/degree

• At least 3 years of experience working at a defense law firm

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $45,000.00 per year
