This wonderful non-profit, community-oriented employer is seeking to hire a Paralegal for their Niagara Falls office. This position will provide support for the current medical legal partnership program. They will develop a strong knowledge of all public benefit programs with an emphasis on the those that assist individuals facing utility emergencies and will also be tasked with conducting community outreach.

35-hour work week and a wonderful work-life balance is offered and encouraged. Excellent benefits available! The pay scale starts at $41,550 however please note that the starting pay rate will be based on your years of experience within this role or one with similar responsibilities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree, or Associate degree in Paralegal Studies is highly preferred

• Excellent communication and writing skills;
• Ability to relate well with clients living with low incomes;
• Previous experience working with low-income and/or underserved communities preferred;
• Second language fluency preferred; and
• Legal Services background, or knowledge of general civil legal work preferred.
