Position Summary:

Assist customers by loading parcels into vehicles; maintain the outside area of the store, and return shopping carts to the inside of the store. Or Maintain the bottle/can return machines and cleanliness of area, assist customers with returns, stock and face shelves, as directed. Bagging at the checkstands, restroom checks. Role model and demonstrate the Company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety of self and others. Fred Meyer also requires that all associates perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with corporate policies and state and federal laws.

Essential Job Functions:

-Model “Customer 1st” behavior; deliver and encourage other associates to deliver excellent customer service.

-Provide customer service

-Load customer parcels into vehicles

-Maintain, recover and condition displays; maintain cleanliness of loading area and outside yard

-Put away returned merchandise

-Maintain department cleanliness, sweeping, mopping, dusting, wiping shelves and kick-plates , cleaning check stands, clean and stock restrooms

-retrieve carts from parking lot

-Bag and carry out groceries

-Perform price checks

-Answer telephones

-Stock and maintain merchandise as directed

-Comply with all corporate policies

-Promote and follow Company initiatives

-Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodations

Minimum Position Qualifications:

- Minimum 16 years of age

-Ability to pass a drug test

-Ability to work on a fast paced environment

-Ability to work weekends on a regular basis

-Accuracy/attention to detail

Additional information:

Shift 4 to 8 hours, up to 5 days per week

Standing and walking 5 minutes to 8 hours with breaks

Lifting 10 to 50 pounds
