About the Role
As a Parent Educator in our HOPES Program in Beaumont, you will impact the lives of families in the community through parent education, child development knowledge, and parent support groups.

What You'll Do

As a member of our team you will have an impact on our clients through accomplishment of the following responsibilities:

  • Recruit and engage families to receive services
  • Coordinate home visits.
  • Provide resource and referral services linking families with community resources and support systems.
  • Conduct parent education in the home as well as through monthly parent support groups.
  • Work with the families to build on the families' strengths.
  • Serve as a Project HOPES Ambassador to the community.

What You'll Bring to the Team
To be successful in this role and a great addition to our team we need you to come with the following:

  • Bachelor's degree; or Associate's degree plus 2 years of work experience; or High School Diploma (or G.E.D.) plus 5 years work experience in a related field.
  • Ability to relate cross-culturally and with varying socio-economic groups.
  • Age 21 with a valid driver's license and a clean driving record with ability to transport clients in company or personal vehicle.
  • Self-motivation to guide daily work with only minimal supervision while exercising sound judgment and confidentiality.
  • Extensive vehicle travel in service area with some overnight stays.
  • A professional commitment to Christian principles so as to perform tasks and responsibilities in alignment with Buckner's mission, vision, and values;
