Calvert School, an independent lower and middle school, has openings for part-time After School Care Aides for the 2022-23 school year. Calvert’s After School Care program provides care for children ages four to 13. Calvert School is dedicated to educating girls and boys through its time-tested method of teaching and its rigorous curriculum. Particular emphasis is given to mastering essential skills, inspiring a lifelong love of learning, and instilling enthusiasm, responsibility and self-discipline. Calvert School is located in Tuscany-Canterbury, a residential neighborhood in Baltimore City, just north of Johns Hopkins University and south of Loyola University Maryland, accessible from Charles Street and I-83.

This is a great opportunity for candidates looking to work in a supportive and friendly environment and for high school and college students looking for part-time work. Flexible schedules are created around high school and college schedules and candidates do not have to be available all five days each week. The Aides will work under the supervision of the Director of Co-Curricular Programs and the hours of work that are available are Monday through Friday, 2:15 P.M. to 6:00 P.M.

Qualifications of the ideal candidates include the following:

• Prior experience working with school-aged children is preferred.
• First Aid and CPR certified (Calvert will provide training for certification, if needed).
• Must have a strong work ethic, be dependable, and have strong communication skills.

This position pays $15.00/hour and a State of Maryland and FBI background check will be performed.
