Receptionist, Undergraduate Admission

In the Office of Undergraduate Admission, we continue to work to recruit and retain such students from diverse backgrounds. We also focus on versatile policies and practices that build a sense of community among people with many backgrounds, skills, and strengths. Our Office of Undergraduate Admission is hiring a Receptionist, and seeking an outgoing and motivated professional to provide administrative receptionist support to the department, along with performing administrative duties and projects as assigned. Primary responsibilities of the position include customer service support in the form of in-person inquiries, answering phones and email, and processing mail. This position is front-facing not only for prospective students and families, but for the university as a whole.
We will look for someone in this role who is able to keep to a rigid time schedule and someone who is comfortable with heavy phone and in-person contact along with a strong ability to multitask and manage time. We are looking for someone with excellent organizational skills who enjoys interpersonal interaction. The person selected should have excellent attention to detail and be able to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Strong communication and teamwork skills are necessary while interacting with prospective students/families, colleagues or other campus constituents.

Required Qualifications:
- High school degree or equivalent required
- Minimum 1-3 years of administrative support in a high volume/fast-paced office setting
- Proven excellent interpersonal, problem solving, and organizational skills
- Proven advanced proficiency with technology
- Solid ability to multitask and work independently
- Excellent attention to detail and following set directions
- Sense of deep personal responsibility for the organization's success; to get the work done right and accurately
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
