Job Title: Part-Time Social Media Manager

Location: PopRox Dance Studio, University District

Reports to: Kinsey Litton, Director & Co-Founder

Pay Rate: Starting Pay – $25/hr

ABOUT POPROX: Opened in February 2018, PopRox Dance offers a wide variety of dance classes and special events within the scope of a dance studio environment. We have created a place where music and movement can be enjoyed by anyone looking for a welcoming environment to grow their confidence and explore dance.
What makes our studio stand out is that we pride ourselves on providing a place where kids and adults can move and create to the music they love without feeling intimidated, excluded, or self-conscious. We have turned the old-fashioned dance studio model on its head by encouraging student’s engagement and collaboration, abolishing conventional dress codes, and bringing pure fun and creativity back into dance. Dance is the focus, inspiration, and the backdrop for involvement in our PopRox community.

ABOUT THE JOB:

We are looking for a Social Media Manager who can continue to develop our social media presence by embodying our values, communicating our brand identity, creating content that is consistent with our brand, and connecting with our customers and followers.

A Social Media Manager is expected to be skilled at self-management, creating a workflow that is structured and organized, communicating effectively and consistently, and maintaining brand and customer service consistency in all actions. We are looking for someone who is friendly and engaging and who understands our big-picture goals as a company, which involves creating a space, both in-person and virtually, where all people feel welcome and excited about joining our dance community.

Our Social Media Manager will be in charge of learning the details of our branding, creating weekly posts, engaging with customers on our social media platforms, and working alongside studio staff members to create and collect content. There will be weekly meetings at our studio to touch base on content, upcoming events and classes, and take photos and videos for social media.

JOB DETAILS:

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Planning and developing social media campaigns

• Maintaining brand consistency through social media content creation

• Creating and posting compelling content for our Instagram and TikTok accounts

• Providing high-touch customer service and engagement with our customers

• Being on top of the latest social media trends

• Communicate effectively with staff members and manager regarding class calendar, content needed, and upcoming events.

Job Type: Part-Time // 10 - 15 hours per week

Location: This is a remote position with weekly meetings at our U-District Studio // 4557 11th Ave NE. Seattle, WA 98105

Pay: $25/hr

EXPERIENCE + QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2+ years professional social media experience

• Experience learning company’s customer base and catering engaging and unique marketing campaigns to capture their attention

• Knowledge of best customer service + content creation practices for social media platforms

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Self-manager, organized, and experienced independently managing own workflow

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 per hour

• Self-determined schedule

Experience:

• Marketing: 2 years (Preferred)
