Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities:

• Takes parts orders by telephone
• Researches parts requested through effective and efficient use of Internet catalogs available through manufacturers
• Handles retail parts transactions with customers
• Follows procedures and processes for ordering, selling, delivering and handling parts returns
• Promotes manufacturers brand parts to generate the highest revenues possible
• Learns about various machinery parts to provide the most accurate and timely service possible to customers needing those parts
• Assists Parts Manager with inventory counts and annual inventory-taking
• Resolves customer complaints effectively, rarely resorting to complaint escalation to the Parts Manager
• Treats customers fairly, honestly, and ethically to demonstrate our commitment to superior customer service and ethical business practices
• Assists other employees with their daily tasks and procedures as time allows
• Maintains a neat and organized work area
• Communicates in a service-oriented, positive and professional manner and maintains a cool and calm demeanor at all times

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds
• This position requires sitting, standing, twisting, squatting, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, pushing, and pulling on a daily basis
• Must be able to work indoors or outdoors under a variety of temperatures and weather conditions

• 
  High School Diploma or GED required
• Associates Degree preferred
• Minimum 1+ years of experience with parts counter sales in the construction, agricultural or automotive industries required
• Strong electronic media search skills required
• 1+ years of experience working directly with customers required
• Microsoft Office Suite products proficiency
• Valid commercial drivers license
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed
