PARTS TEAM MEMBER

Reports to: Parts Team Leader

POSITION SUMMARY:

Position will be responsible for various parts department functions within Hayward Power Sports. This includes but is not limited to: maintaining an organized parts department and inventory control management. Strong focus on inventories, organization, and improvement is necessary. Support and backup of various other departments within the company will also be required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Maintain an accurate and organized parts department.
• Pull parts for Service in a timely manner and assist them in looking up parts.
• Help Service in assisting customers at the counter for their parts and service needs.
• Return Parts as needed.
• Participate in inventory counts and organizations.
• Review any special order parts or parts delays to ensure they are ordered or cancelled.
• Order shop supplies as needed.
• Check in and receive parts.
• Keep the parts rooms in a neat and organized manner.
• Ensure all parts are secure and that parts requisition rules are followed at all times.
• Keep hallways free from part deliveries in a timely manner.
• On a regular basis, inventory the special order shelves and make reminder calls to customers that have not picked up their parts.
• Assist with season showroom turnovers.
• Keep a good line of communication with suppliers to discuss orders, discrepancies, deliveries, etc.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide company telephone backup.
• Provide support to the Parts Team Leader
• Other responsibilities as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma
• 3-5 years of experience
• Must be physically able to lift at least 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
• Excellent organizational skills
• Detailed understanding of inventory and parts management
• Proficient computer use with multiple modules and the interfaces between them
• Ability to communicate complex issues in simple, understandable terms
• Ability to work in a team-environment while taking on multiple tasks at any given time

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Technical degree
• Background in retail/service industries

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
