The Patient Services Specialist serves as the first impression of Eldridge Podiatry. This position also serves as a liaison between the front desk and the clinical office staff. Greeting each patient in a warm; friendly and professional manner as they enter the clinic is our pleasure!

Responsibilities vary depending on the daily assignment but may include:

opening the clinic
checking in patients
verifying insurance & demographics
ensuring proper paperwork is complete
keying medical updates into the EMR
answering phone calls
scheduling appointments
checking out patients including keying charges
collecting copays, coinsurance and deductibles
closing the clinic
Position Requirements:

Minimum of 2 years medical office experience
High school education or G.E.D. equivalent. Demonstrates proficiency with a computer, keyboard and calculator.
Accurate data entry skills, high level of attention to detail
Ability to interact positively with patients, staff, and the public
Must be able to multi-task well
Must be able to work under the pressures of a fast paced busy office
Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
Please note that we do have two locations (Hickory and Morganton). While this position is full time in the Hickory office, periodic travel may be required.
