Magnolia River and its subsidiary Storti Quality Services is looking to hire Construction Paving Restoration Inspectors in the Harrisburg/Lancaster area. This position is full-time with the ability to earn overtime. We are looking for experienced candidates with 3+ years in relevant paving/restoration inspection experience.

Responsibilities

• Under general supervision, assist with collecting, compiling, and analyzing data from the physical work site, surveys, structural plans, blueprints, schematics, data
• Inspect the work of contractors on pavement restoration or new road construction projects to ensure compliance with specifications, standards and codes
• Measure and record material placed for periodic contractor payments
• Prepare daily inspection reports and/or logs that describe number of employees on a job site, amount of work performed, and materials used, weather conditions, accidents on the job site and equipment use
• Work in various weather conditions and terrains and will be available nights and weekends as needed
• Work effectively with others
• Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to the Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
• Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant construction inspection experience
• Valid state driver’s license
• Working skill in operating computer equipment, software programs and field inspection equipment; read and interpret roadway plans and contract specifications; maintain detailed records, and communicate effectively with agency, contractor personnel and the public
• Familiar with construction inspection principles, field inspection practices, process, methods and techniques
• Familiar with relevant construction codes, regulations, compliance practices, and record-keeping requirements
• Excellent research and evaluation skills with analytical mindset
• Capable self-leadership with attention to detail, ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, follow instruction, and comply with company policies
• Ability to work independently under general supervision, as well as part of a team to meet business objectives
• Basic proficiency with technical writing, office automation, software, spreadsheets, technology, and tools
• Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies
• Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements
• Required Education: High School Diploma / GED
• Ability to comply with all client requirements
