About the Role
The Director of Pharmacy provides leadership and strategic direction for the coordination, integration and expansion of our pharmacies and clinical residency. Provides both administrative and clinical direction in applying policy and instituting models that promote medication safety in all aspects of the medication management process. This role is responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of quality assurance to meet the requirements of all applicable regulatory agencies. The Director assumes overall responsibilities for program success by being responsive to the needs and objectives of staff, clients, funders, and local community partners. The Director will provide direct management and leadership to all pharmacy managers. This position will work closely with the Clinical Leadership team. Additionally, the Director is part of the Senior Management team leading the agency to achieve both short and long term strategic goals. This position reports to the Chief Medical Officer.

The qualified candidate will possess
  • Advanced clinical pharmacy skills as evidence by a Doctor of Pharmacy degree and either completion of a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency or equivalent clinical experience
  • A current unencumbered license to practice pharmacy in the state of Ohio (or eligible if not currently licensed in the state).
We are looking for an experienced pharmacist with at least 5 years dispensing pharmacy experience and 5 years of progressive and demonstrated pharmacy leadership experience. Clinical experience with emphasis on mental health counseling preferred as is 340B knowledge or experience.

Initiative: The ability to recognize and create opportunities and to act accordingly rather than waiting passively for it to happen
Managing: The ability to manage and take charge of employees in order to enhance their performance; defining targets and providing appropriate means; controlling progress and correcting employees
