SCK Health is looking for a talented Phlebotomist to join our team!
Shift: PRN; every 3rd weekend
Job Description:
Collects blood sample by venipuncture, arterial and capillary puncture demonstrating skill with patients from newborn to geriatric. Collect drug screen and paternity specimens among other duties assigned by Laboratory Team Leader. Customer service and communication skills both written and oral a must.
Experienced preferred.
- Maintains current knowledge to perform job to quality standards; knowledge of universal precautions,, knowledge of infection control plan
- Works cooperatively with all staff and other departments; able to enter computer orders as needed; answers telephone and relays communication effectively and in a timely manner’ sets up telemetry as ordered, runs strips as ordered.
- Responds to emergency situations throughout the hospital as needed.
Qualifications:
Education: High School or equivalent
Certifications: CPR (must be obtained within 6 months of hire)
Schedule:
- Weekend availability
Experience:
- Phlebotomy: 2 years (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- Phlebotomy Technician Certificate (Preferred)
