Job Duties: To evaluate and re-evaluate assigned residents/patients either as an in or outpatient; plan and implement an ongoing therapeutic physical therapy program as prescribed by the attending physician and/or consulting specialist and provide consulting physical therapist services. Must be competent in both outpatient and inpatient physical therapy.

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements: To qualify, you must meet all the following requirements. Please note that unless specifically indicated, the required education and experiences may not be gained concurrently. In addition, qualifying work experience is credited based on a 40-hour work week.

Certification: Certification as a Health Care Provider (adult, child and infant) must be obtained within one (1) month of employment. Current certification is preferred. Please submit copy of certification with the application.

License Required: Possession of a valid unrevoked license issued by the State of Hawaii to practice as a Physical Therapist. Submit copy of license with the application.

Must be available to work shifts, weekends and holidays as necessary based on hospital operations; services are provided 24/7.

MEDICAL / PHYSICAL EXAMINATION REQUIREMENT: Offers of employment will be contingent on successful completion of a pre-employment physical examination, which includes a drug screen and other regulatory medical requirements such as, but not limited to, two-step tuberculosis (TB) screen. The cost for physical examinations, except the cost for drug screening, shall be borne by the applicant and not the Hawaii Health Systems Corporation (HHSC).

COVID-19 VACCINATION REQUIREMENT: COVID-19 vaccination is a condition of employment for Hawaii Health Systems Corporation. After receiving a Conditional Offer of Employment, all prospective new HHSC employees are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
