IMMEDIATE OPENING for a Full-Time Physician (Internal Medicine) to support the Naval Medical Center located in Portsmouth, VA.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree: Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.).
- Education: Graduate from an accredited medical school in the United States or Canada.
- Certification: Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine or the American Board of Osteopathic Internal Medicine
- Internship/Residency: Successful completion of an internship and residency program
EXPERIENCE
- Possess at least one (1) year of experience as an Internal Medicine Physician providing services within the last two (2) years.
LICENSURE
Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice medicine as required.
Duties include but not limited to:
- Provide a full range of Internal Medicine services (e.g., oversee and provide general screening and medical care and examinations of patients for routine, acute and chronic conditions involving any and all organ systems, provide immunization prescriptions, and diagnose, treat, and counsel patients as indicated).
- Participate as a faculty member for the Graduate Medical Education program. Attend monthly faculty meetings. Precept interns and residents, including reviewing and co-signing notes. Work with medical students when needed during clinic hours.
