General Position Summary

Rigs and sets pile (36 inch square concrete piles, steel pipe piles) in the proper location and drives them to grade using hydraulic, diesel, or vibratory hammers.

Typical Duties:

· Handle, attach, and remove rigging from piling, pile hammer, and hammer leads.

· Operates winches to align barge at proper location.

· Install and remove pile templates.

· Operate pile hammers.

· Signal cranes.

· Climb leads up to 200 feet vertically

Requirements:

Workers should be able to:

· Perform work in a marine environment

· Work from heights (pile drivers will typically be required to climb pile driving leads or work out of a manlift wearing fall protection)

· Physically, workers must be able to see well (naturally or with correction)

· Climb and/or maintain balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl

· Reach for handle and manipulate objects

· Lift objects weighing up to 100 pounds or more with frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing 50 pounds or more and work at heights.

· Rigging and signaling certification preferred

· Must have at least 3 years of pile driving experience with marine construction
