Wealth Plan Specialist

Our growing Wealth Management team is seeking a Wealth Plan Specialist to create and maintain comprehensive financial plans for our clients. The right candidate will be enthusiastic about focusing on client needs in the areas of cash flow, retirement planning, estate planning, education planning, and major purchase planning.

DSB Rock Island Wealth Management’s team of experienced financial professionals serve the needs of individuals and their families throughout Minnesota and across the United States.

Primary Responsibilities

The Wealth Management Specialist position requires the ability to capably provide service to clients and potential clients. The Wealth Management Specialist will perform a wide variety of diversified tasks independently and with supervision.

• Enter client information into Comprehensive Financial Planning Software and generate wealth plans
• Prepare and mail introduction packages with an engagement letter, document request, and Wealth Questionnaire
• Demonstrate the Wealth Plan software to potential clients
• Assist clients in aggregating their accounts into the system
• Develop a close, long-term relationship with wealth plan clients to understand their current circumstances and future needs or wishes
• Create PowerPoint presentations summarizing the Wealth Plans for client meetings
• Provide annual reviews
• Manage clients’ individual wealth planning websites to maintain current information
• Review and modify systems to enhance the wealth planning experience
• Continually seek ways to improve the wealth planning process
• Develop and maintain written systems of all wealth planning activities
• Perform other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or similar field of study
• Minimum of three (3) years of financial planning, wealth management, or public accounting experience. Ideally, two to three years of experience in a financial planning firm
• Professional designation such as CFP or CPA highly desirable
