MANUFACTURING PLANT MANAGER – INDIANA

Summary
High energy Plant Manager will have excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and drive for success. Create a plant culture of high integrity, accountability, and employee involvement.
Develop plant team to ensure all team members are at the required levels of performance. Provides guidance to the team for the proper handling and packing of all painted parts to ensure quality.
Manage at a level that is removed enough to see the big picture and allow the team to grow while remaining close enough to the details to keep things on track.
Responsibilities:

Direct and manage plant operations for production, maintenance, quality, and shipping and receiving.

Proactively manage scheduling for a fully operational team AND oversee daily floor operations.

Strong ability to positively manage conflict among departments and employees.

Have worked in a role that demonstrates an ability to work under pressure and be tenacious in meeting goals and deadlines.

Coordinate plant activities through planning with operations Leaders to ensure all manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Supervise and coach to ensure maximum production and quality levels are met in accordance with production planning.

Establish and monitor overall plant performance for production and quality standards.

Control and minimize labor overtime, premium freight, and repair expenses.

Makes employees aware of job hazards, directly and through subordinate supervisors and hourly leaders. Ensures the proper orientation and safety training of employees and compliance with Company safety rules and procedures.

Proven ability to drive root-cause problem-solving & countermeasures.
Required Education and Experience
-
Bachelor's degree in a related field or 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with experience in a variety of manufacturing disciplines.

Prior heavy manufacturing experience with knowledge of plant operations and processes.

Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)

Strong management skills with the ability to supervise multiple teams

Strict adherence to company standards and safety procedures
-
Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
-
Excellent leadership, team building, and management skills
-
Able to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 30 pounds
-
Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management
