Job description
We are looking for a talented manufacturing Plant Manager to lead operations of our Markham, WA manufacturing plant. Responsible for partnering with the field manufacturing and corporate networks to implement objectives that drive performance and achieve business results.
- Analyze, evaluate, and manage various plant performance indicators, such as line efficiencies, budget variance and product quality measures.
- Hire, evaluate and develop subordinates; provide subordinates opportunities to exercise judgment and initiative.
- Provide feedback to subordinates on performance; correct deficiencies and highlight strengths.
- Communicate with local and corporate staff on operational status; recommend improvements in techniques and methods of operations, developing rationale and implementation strategy.
- Provide information and advice to Sr. Manager, on plant operations on routine basis; represent plant as needed.
- Supports food safety and quality program initiatives within the plant environment.
- Create and maintain positive Labor/Management relations; working closely with HR to evaluate grievance activity and determine what corrective action is necessary.
- Participate in labor contract negotiations as member of management team.
Ability, Skills and Knowledge:
- Bachelor’s degree and 10 years’ experience
- Experience working in a unionized manufacturing environment required
- Knowledge of EHS, FDA/USDA and SQF requirements preferred
- Manufacturing experience strongly preferred
- Able to interact effectively with all levels of the organization
- Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a customer focus
- Strong business acumen and leadership skills
- Ability to influence, provide leadership, work in a team environment or independently
- Proficient knowledge of MS Office Suite and other computer programs as required
Salary: $126,700 - $176,800 per year
