Associate Specialist: Pollen Lab

The Pollen lab seeks to hire a lab manager who will be responsible for managing materials inventory and ordering supplies for the lab, leading renewal of safety and compliance protocols and trainings, keeping records of common lab reagents, following up with vendors about orders, organizing routine maintenance and equipment repairs, maintaining shared lab resources, and serving as a hub for answering lab member questions and solving problems. This position requires exceptional organization, teamwork, and communication skills, and an understanding of molecular and stem cell biology experimental approaches.

Applicants must possess a master’s degree (or equivalent) or at least 5-10 years of research experience. Database management and coding experience preferred.

Appointees in the Specialist series will be expected to engage in specialized research, professional activities and do not have teaching responsibilities. Specialists are expected to use their professional expertise to make scientific and scholarly contributions, and may participate in University and Public Service. Screening of applicants will begin immediately and will continue as needed throughout the recruitment period. Salary will be commensurate with the applicants experience and training.
