Warwick Publishing (St. Charles, IL) is looking for a Pre-Press Artwork Proofreader and Typesetter to join our team.

Reporting to the Pre-Press and Artwork Department Supervisor, the Proofreader and Typesetter is responsible for proofing and processing artwork for active orders and communicating related information to other employees as necessary to ensure proper production of jobs.

Daily tasks involve moderate usage of Adobe’s software suite and moderate usage of Warwick’s proprietary operations software mixed with physical job tickets, samples, and production plates/dies.

Responsibilities include:

• Proofread customer artwork to verify proper layout, color, and spelling as indicated on the purchase order
• Send and receive proof confirmations from customers through Warwick’s proofing application
• Typeset new order artwork onto production templates
• Support other Pre-Press/Artwork Department responsibilities as time permits

Qualifications:

• Strong attention to written and visual details
• Comfortable working with both Mac and Windows computers
• Prior experience/training with Adobe’s Software Suite

Desired Experience:

• Prior experience in print production or quality control of printed and/or foil stamped products
• Prior experience/exposure to the promotional product industry

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
