James Lee Preschool and Day Care in Falls Church has an opening for an experience Pre K assistant teacher to work in our three years old classroom. Qualified candidate will have the opportunity to work full time Monday through Friday (9AM-5:00PM). We need the right candidate to start immediately.

Our Requirements:

Meet individual state licensing requirements for education, experience and age

Possess a desire to positively influence our children and their families

Possess passion, patience, creativity, flexibility and dedication

Previous work experience (2 to 3 years preferred) in a licensed childcare facility.

Previous Pre K experience (2 to 3 years preferred).

Exceptional communication and customer service skills

High school diploma

Child Development Associate (CDA) and/or Early Childhood Education classes a plus!

Demonstrable Early Childhood Education (ECE) credits required.

Must be able to pass criminal background checks

COVID-19 considerations:
Masking optional for children and teachers. A child or teacher should remain at home with a fever greater than 100 degrees. The child will only be allowed to return to school after they have been fever-free for 24 hours without fever-reducing medicine.

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Early Childhood Education: 2 years (Preferred)
• Childcare: 2 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• CPR Certification (Preferred)
