TITLE: Principal Developer II
LOCATION: Maryland Heights, MO

JOB SUMMARY: Provide strategic consultation in the areas of development, integration testing, domain architecture, and high-level project roadmaps to implement solutions for a variety of IT initiatives and projects for business and customer facing telecommunications systems. Design, develop, and implement information technology systems using Java technologies within designated framework. Resolve issues regarding operations, implementations, and system status. Provide technical guidance and solutions on issues, defects, and project deliverables. Triage defects and project deliverables on analyses to diagnose and fix operational difficulty. Identify and recommend design and requirements needs for business and customer facing applications, including web and software applications. Troubleshoot to resolve incidents and problems for production applications to adhere to requirements under identified Service Level Agreements. Write code and perform unit and integration testing to ensure proper and efficient execution and adherence to business and technical requirements. Simplify and enhance customer experience by delivering project deliverables. Collaborate with Project Managers, Managers, Directors, and VPs to set strategies and tactical implementing procedures. Perform analysis of issues, defects, and project deliverables to diagnose and fix operational difficulty. Participate in Java code review activities. Implement, monitor, test, and audit new software programs. Participate in continuous performance improvement sessions and recommend opportunities to improve processes and standards. Utilize programming languages for software development which can include a combination of Java or .Net. Utilize Oracle SQL to access and update Oracle databases. Analyze and document complex technical solutions for software systems and applications. Perform transaction and log analysis using Splunk.

EDUCATION/ REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, or a related field. 7 years of experience in programming languages for software development which can include a combination of Java or .Net. 6 years of experience: utilizing Oracle SQL to access and update Oracle databases; and analyzing and documenting complex technical solutions for software systems and applications. 4 years of experience performing transaction and log analysis using Splunk.
