Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Defining and developing procedures and equipment configuration for the module.

  • Defining projects to meet quality, reliability, cost, yield, productivity, and manufacturability requirements.

  • Driving improvements on quality, reliability, cost, yield, process stability/capability, productivity and safety/ergonomic over variables such as material, method, equipment, environment, and operating personnel.

  • Developing solutions to problems utilizing formal education, statistical knowledge, and problem-solving tools.

  • Establishing the process control systems for the process module and sustains the module through volume ramp.

  • Develops strategy to resolve difficult problems and establishes systems to deal with these problems in the future.

  • Additionally, you will respond to production requests for material disposition and alarm response.

  • Designing, executing, and analyzing experiments necessary to meet engineering specifications for the process.

  • Participating in the development of intellectual property.

  • Developing the equipment and components necessary to leverage understanding gained in research (in collaboration with suppliers), identifying shortcomings, and proposing and evaluating modifications to mitigate issues or enable new capabilities.

  • Overseeing unique steps in a manufacturing line which integrates thousands of steps necessary for the manufacture of complex microprocessors, while simultaneously transferring the technology to counterparts in manufacturing sites across the globe.

Qualifications


You must possess the minimum qualifications below to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. The experience listed below may be obtained through schoolwork, classes and project work, internships, military training, and/or work experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have been out of the paid workforce for at least 1 year.

  • Must possess a Bachelor's, Master's or PhD degree in Physics, Material Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field of study.

  • 3+ years of experience in one or more of the following:

    • Hands-on experience using and maintaining scientific equipment, research experience, experimental and data analysis expertise.

    • Semiconductor processing, device physics, and electrical characterization techniques.

    • Research experience with advanced transistor device structures and architectures including fabrication (e.g., lithography, etch, film deposition, cleans, chemical-mechanical planarization, etc.).

    • Characterizing the electrical performance of leading-edge transistor devices including current-voltage, capacitance-voltage, high frequency characterization (ft, fmax), gate delay, etc., and performing device and circuit simulation to confirm analysis.

    • Future transistor device physics and process integration.

    • Process control systems.

    • Computer software Microsoft Office and data base entry.
