EDUCATION / WORK EXPERIENCE

· Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

BACKGROUND / SKILLS

· Previous purchasing cost experience

· Cost / price analysis

· Negotiating experience

· Project management

Global Sourcing, supply chain experience

Experience in Automotive industry helpful

SPECIAL TRAINING / CERTIFICATES

· Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point

· AS400 / MAPICS experience preferred

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

· Adhere to HITACHI ASTEMO’s Safety Policy and Practices and report any potential unsafe condition or concern to the Safety department immediately and / or to your direct supervisor.

· Develop and maintain cost tables.

· Support project managers during evaluation process.

· Maintain proper Procurement documentation to support ISO/IATF certifications.

· Create annual cost down strategies and negotiate with suppliers.

· Negotiate part cost, lead-time for assigned commodities.

· Develop and maintain strategy for each assigned commodity.

· Maintain information to support cost change report.

· Track localization merit with input from Procurement Manager who oversees projects.

· Complete annual material budgets and assist in developing Cost Planning CD/CU budget.

· Propose Maker Layout for component parts with supporting documentation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
