MSC Cruises, the world's third largest and fastest growing cruise line brand is expanding its procurement team in the USA. Reporting to MSC USA Director of Procurement, this role is responsible for managing transactional procurement requests, creating purchase orders and monitoring order status throughout lifecycles. For an assigned procurement category, you will ensure the timely processing of order requisitions, create purchase orders, monitor delivery status and report timely updates to stakeholders. Responsible for the purchasing orders related to MSC Ocean Cay and locally sourced orders for US based vessels

Responsibilities.

Review requisitions received from operations prior to purchase order creation and processing

Provide ongoing support for all purchasing activities, contracted and non-contracted requests

Follow up with suppliers deliveries

Coding new articles in MMS for Hotel, Medical, and Consumables categories Register new suppliers in MMS, PEP and Navision

Reconcile invoices and resolve discrepancies related to receiving goods and payment issues

Follow up on supplier deliveries and resolving delays

Follow up on approval with the PO committee

Optimize purchasing and shipping costs per Company’s Policy & Procedures Assist in obtaining missing quotations, invoices needed from suppliers for orders placed

Resolve supplier related issues related to delays, discrepancies

Maintain updated the Company’s ERP and Procurement_e_Platform system, reconciling and booking the value of the stock moved within

Comply with US Federal Laws, Florida ports regulations and Standard Company’s Policy & Procedures

Requirements

College degree - preferably in finance, supply chain management or equivalent

minimum of 3-5 years of working experience in purchasing, preferably within the hospitality industry

Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English)Proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, power point, and Outlook

Preferred knowledge of ERP systems such as Oracle/MMS, Navision or equivalent

Problem solver and team player

Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks

Legal work status in US

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $62,725.00 - $67,478.00 per year
