Product Manager
Full-Time
Omaha, NE
Compensation: Up to $110K
What you are doing as a Product Manager:
- Work alongside sales, product development engineering, and the research and development group, quality, and operations and will have the responsibility of being the voice of the customer. You will be the champion for researching and identifying new product opportunities and improvements to existing product lines to drive market growth.
- Increase profit generated from product lines by adding revenue streams from new products. Profit will come from successful new/enhanced product launches, and strategic pricing.
- Understand the applicable markets for products so that product design, performance characteristics, and cost/price are appropriate for target customers.
- Fully understand our competitors’ products including those considered to be acceptable substitutes. The PM will initiate side-by-side competitive comparisons as required.
- Work closely with marketing communications on product catalog, flyer, and brochure updates and creation.
- Work with the marketing and Market Development Managers in sales literature, advertising, direct mail, trade shows, and other types of marketing promotions.
- Interact with the other Global Centers of Excellence on product management activities
- Manage list pricing and work with engineering to support the standardization of material descriptions in SAP, quoting tools, and online ordering tools.
What you need as a Product Manager:
- A bachelor’s degree is required.
- A minimum of 2+ years’ experience as a Product Manager in an industrial context with proven product management and marketing product development experience
- Demonstrated success defining, developing, and launching new products
- Technical background and aptitude with experience in industrial products
- Excellent teamwork skills; proven ability to lead cross-functional teams without formal authority
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Examples and at least one sample of an effective market or product requirements document delivered in the past
- Ability to travel 25% of the time
