The Product Manager, Industrial Electric Solutions is responsible for developing, launching, and supporting new business opportunities, technologies, products and services that enhance the offerings of the Heating & Hot Water Solutions (HHWS) platform, Strategic Accounts, and Watts Water Technologies, Inc. This role will work cross functionally to develop and implement a strategic roadmap defining, nurturing and executing new business and product development opportunities for the HHWS platform for new, non-core, technology solutions, integrated Watts solutions, and/or services working across the Watts portfolio, focused on reducing building emissions and carbon-footprint while providing reliability and cost savings. The Product Manager, Industrial Electric Solutions is accountable for the success of business and product recommendations and their resulting sales and margin performance.

Employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Identify mid-high voltage industry forefront technologies aimed at the decarbonization or the heating and hot water industry and evaluate their market readiness. Stay current with the latest emissions and electrification legislation and incentive programs. Educate both internal and external partners on the implications of code changes associated with decarbonization. Research market trends and develop business cases, as appropriate, for leading edge product and services that can be bundled and/or packaged to offer mid-high voltage system solutions. Assess, initiate, and champion product enhancements and beneficial accessory products and services. Lead all aspects of the product life cycle, including developing brand roadmaps, identifying, driving, and implementing key growth initiatives from conception through launch. This may include:
Conducting robust voice-of-customer to validate market/competitive dynamics
Specifying market requirements for current and future products
Developing business cases and commercial specifications for new product solutions
Leading the product realization process in conjunction with Engineering
Introduce products capable of meeting strict compliance with engineering standards, company standards and market requirements. Research opportunities for partnerships, joint ventures, and/or acquisitions of products, technologies, or services that would enhance the HHWS offering to better serve our customers. Work directly with customers and product managers to understand and communicate product value proposition, competitive advantages/disadvantages while driving needed changes to meet customers’ needs. Create compelling sales tools, case studies, product literature, and multimedia sales collateral to drive product adoption Provide cross-training for sales managers, NPD engineering, pre-sales and post-sales support teams, and provide support through product lifecycle. Collaborate with sales and marketing to support go-to-market activities, sales promotions/campaigns, etc. In conjunction with sales, assess go-to-market channels to maximize sales effectiveness for new platform offerings. Operate as a product champion capable of educating the market on new technologies and trends. Develop in-depth understanding of competitor’s tactics, strategies, and products. EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a technical field (engineering, sciences, business)
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS

5+ years of technical sales, product management/marketing, applications/engineering experience within HVAC industry Deep knowledge of design, operation, and/or service requirements of medium-high voltage technologies Proven track record in managing new product introductions and product life cycle a plus Broad professional experience in product development, sales, and marketing functions Excellent written and verbal communication skills; especially when presenting to customers, representatives, and leadership Strong organizational and planning skills; attention to detail is a critical required skill Strong problem-solving skills Strong interpersonal and customer relations skills Creativity and an upbeat, positive attitude Computer literacy – Intermediate level in MS office. Ability to travel – up to 30% domestically and 5% internationally
