Close the Loop (CtL) is looking for an energetic and motivated Production Manager for its North America Headquarters located in Hebron, KY. Close the Loop provides best-in-class sustainability solutions to help companies create and elevate their corporate social responsibility programs. This involves designing and managing highly efficient toner and ink cartridge recycling, cosmetics plastic recycling, take back, recovery, and reuse programs.

The Production Manager provides leadership to the production department through effective resource management and the creation of a highly motivated and safe workforce.

The Production Manager oversees all aspects of the production department by maintaining production schedules, communication of metric performance, trains employees, and has authority for hiring, termination, discipline, and performance decisions.

Production Manager Job Duties: (Actual duties and responsibilities may vary as a result of corporate directives, departmental objectives and special projects, in addition to the duties outlined below.)

Safety:
Visibly demonstrate that safety is a value by following safety procedures, maintaining a safe workplace and complying with safety rules

Develop processes and products that meet safety codes, policy and guidelines.

Actively participate in achieving organization and personal safety objectives

Follow Safety Policies by holding yourself and all team members accountable to its tenets

Provide for the safety and well-being of operators, maintenance and other personnel

Serve as First Responder for CtL

Quality:
Observe all applicable quality procedures and regulations

Perform tasks utilizing Good Manufacturing Practices

Demonstrate an understanding of the Quality Policy and how it affects your department

Quality standards are to be audited and sustained around CtL?s two major product groups, raw materials and data collection

Raw Materials/Finished Goods: All material produced by production is required to conform to all quality standards that cover contents, labeling and packaging Data: All data used to invoice the customer is required to be audited for accuracy as per the established processes

Efficiency:
Ensure all performance metrics are reviewed and communicated with appropriate parties

Relevant action should be taken when a performance issue is identified

Efficient utilization of labor is also required to be managed through existing systems

Seek and implement process improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency in production

Technical Knowledge:
Develop knowledge and skills to be recognized for expertise and guidance in all CtL?s production processes which includes all applicable software systems

Problem Solving:
Seek, recognize, define and solve problems/opportunities to achieve department objectives

Internal Control:
Maintain and develop all production related process and systems; this will include, but not limited to, all efficiency monitoring systems and quality related systems relevant to CtL?s accreditations

Working collaboratively as appropriate, establish and document corrective action regarding processes and procedures in response to customer complaints

Communications:
Communicate fully with superiors, subordinates and others who have need to know.

Be informative without being obtrusive

Communicate in a way that is timely, yet prompt; complete, yet concise; candid, yet accurate; and clear, yet responsive

This includes the management of daily and weekly team meetings and the monthly plant meetings

Human Resources:
Assist in the development of others in the area of incumbent's expertise, while demonstrating an understanding of those with a diverse background or experience

This includes addressing all performance and disciplinary issues in a timely manner in line with CtL?s communication policy and guidelines

Management:
Supervision of 1st, and 2nd shifts

Oversight of department team of up to 100 people

Management of labor budget line

Manage projects relating to facilities, maintenance and production layout

Collaborate with the Sales team to develop processes and methods to meet customer needs

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Prior experience in ISO compliance and recordkeeping preferred

Strong knowledge and understanding of OSHA regulations; completion of OSHA 30 hour certification preferred

Ability and willingness to function as First Responder

Knowledge and understanding of how Operations impacts profit and loss; ability to manage operations within established budget

Ability to be extremely detail oriented

Solid experience with Microsoft Office

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to ensure appropriate communication both internally and externally

Qualifications:
Bachelor?s degree in a relevant field preferred

Minimum of 5-7 years? experience in a service related production environment

Minimum 3-4 years supervisory experience
