Responsibilities

The main task for the Production & Packing Assistant will be to package, label, and detail our roasted coffee into bulk bags, as well as fulfilling orders to our Wholesale, e-commerce, and other various clientelle.
In the process, you will be working hand-in-hand with our roasting, logistics, and education team - to continuously grow your knowledge of the product - and to help build your passion for the product.

With product knowledge comes further growth into other areas of the business. We try our best to continuously provide a path of growth for areas that you are passionate for, and strive to achieve. Opportunities to join our roasting, logistics, and education team are a main target for those starting in Production with us here at Abbotsford Road.

Qualifications

• Driver's License is preferred, not required
• Specialty Coffee Experience, or Experience working in a warehouse is a plus
• Willingness to Grow & Learn our product and practices is a must

Physical Expectations

• Carry weight, lift – frequently moves materials weighing up to 50 pounds
• Taste/Smell – ability to detect and perceive smell and taste of coffee
• Standing – ability to stand for long periods
• Perform repetitive motion with the hands, wrists and forearms to operate espresso machinery
• All necessary tools, gloves, and other resources will be provided

Work Enviornment

• This is an operating roastery - that also shares space with Education, Sales, and Equipment Technician departments. It is a dynamic, shared space - so a lot of openness to communication & flexibility is a plus.
• The roastery tends to be a noisy & hard-working environment. All necessary tools, gloves, earplugs, and other resources will be provided

Hours & Wage

• This opening is for a Full-Time Production & Packing Assistant
• This will be a baseline 40-hour schedule, Monday - Friday

Our operating hours are primarily 7:00am - 6:00pm
We are looking to fill the 8:00am-4:00pm slot for this Production & Packing role

• Starting rate will be $20/hour with all state-required time-off & sick pay
