Job Description

TDI Technologies, Inc. (TDI) is seeking candidates for a Program Analyst position supporting a new US Navy ship class design and acquisitions program. This position will work with acquisition program managers, R&D specialists, and other engineers both in Philadelphia and other Navy commands to support a new ship class acquisitions program.

Principal Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Support the early stages of the acquisitions program of a new US Navy ship class
  • Support teams conducting Analysis of Alternatives, Design Studies, and help assess corresponding impacts to cost and schedule and mission effectiveness
  • Support NSWCPD R&D roadmaps and technology focus areas
  • Coordinate R&D efforts with other NAVSEA Warfare Centers, Program Offices, and Shipbuilders
  • Interface between teams and personnel including R&D managers, platform managers, Subject Matter Experts, and other engineers
  • Prepare, maintain, and manage requirements, processes, schedules, flow charts, risk matrices, and presentations to improve the program’s operations and procedures
  • Track and analyze efforts, resources, and personnel
  • Assist with program assessments ensuring programmatic goals/milestones are well documented and achieved
  • Facilitate, lead and help with numerous meetings to include peer, design, program, and testing reviews
  • Identify, monitor, and help resolve risks and problems encountered by the team
Job Requirements


Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering
  • 3 years of experience in project management
  • Experience with DoD / US Navy Acquisitions

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Successful applicants must either have an active government security clearance or the ability to receive approval upon position acceptance.
  • Must have the ability to handle Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information (NNPI).
  • Must have a valid US passport or the ability to obtain one upon position acceptance.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Essential Skills:

  • Proficient in organizing within a team environment, tracking various efforts and elements of tasking
  • Results-oriented and motivated to provide solutions with measurable benefit to our customers
  • Ability to communicate complex analysis with clarity and precision
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Shipboard or industrial experience with machinery control system installation, operational testing, troubleshooting, and repair is preferred


Travel: If the candidate is not located in Philadelphia region, this position will require occasional travel (estimated 25%) to TDI and NSWCPD offices and labs at the Navy Yard in South Philadelphia. There may be requirements for other travel, estimated to be 5%.
