About the role
The Program Manager leads a portfolio of clients for a region. A region could be a single state/country or a group of states/countries. You will own the successful delivery of implementations of our core Thentia Cloud product including scope, budget, timeline and resource management across a portfolio of projects at various stages of the implementation life cycle. You may have a team of additional project manager(s) and/or project coordinator(s) to lead, as well as liaising with other teams of Business Analysts, Technical Directors, and product specialists. You will be expected to lead the transition from implementation to ongoing support through our Service Desk team. Having a thorough understanding and experience in regulatory environments (specifically, professional regulation) is helpful for success in this role. Experience working locally in the state or region is an important qualification. Additionally, having experience managing a portfolio of clients that range from small to enterprise is a key qualification.
Responsibilities
- Take accountability for the successful delivery of implementations of the Thentia Cloud product across a set of clients
- Manage the relationship with the client and ensure expectations are managed around scope, timeline and budget.
- Follow established standards for resourcing, budgeting, timeline and product implementation.
- Identify change and drive the change request process for scoping out new work that is over and above existing Statements of Work.
- Identify and lead the resolution of project issues; devise effective ways of reaching project objectives in the most cost/time-effective manner while considering unique business conditions for the client
- Act as an escalation point for client implementation issues and proactively identify implementation risks.
- Collaborate with other senior delivery leaders within the Operations team to establish best practices, processes and standards for delivery
- Work with sales team to transition opportunities from the proposal stage into Delivery
Qualifications
- Expert-level knowledge of project and change management, methodologies, techniques, processes, and approaches
- A natural problem-solver and strategic thinker; able to bring clarity to chaos and navigate through ambiguity
- A positive, collaborative, and friendly attitude
- Technical IT experience (e.g., Public Cloud, QA, Software Development, Data Migration, Integration)
- Solid project management background at a senior level, with experience running technology implementations
- Strong influence and persuasion skills at all levels, up to and including C-level
- Strong risk management, governance, and compliance background
- Strong understanding of the Project Lifecycle (PLC); System Development Lifecycle (SDLC); and Agile delivery components and frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
- Experience in implementing a SaaS product within a client specific environment
- Experience leading implementations with a regulated or government or regulatory agency environment
- Experience as a consultant with enterprise clients
- Experience working in a highly secured, regulated environment (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI) and managing technical aspects of solutions designed for regulated environments
- Strong writing, communication and presentation skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Work well with a diverse team in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management, written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptionally organized with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable in a remote-first work environment
- Ability to travel to client sites
Nice to have
- Formal professional project management certifications such as PMP or Prince 2 is an asset
- Experience working with or consulting with government or regulatory agencies or public sector organizations
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 suite
- Experience with the AGILE delivery model
- Familiarity with JIRA
