THE PROGRAM SPECIALIST POSITION
The successful candidate for this position will join a team of talented individuals to provide critical support to the organization’s programs and initiatives. The Program Specialist will support developing and implementing programs and projects that support the partnership’s vision and short- and long-term plans. Additionally, this role will provide critical support to key processes, including, but not limited to, program development and data reporting and analysis. The selected candidate will be vital in delivering high-quality programming and helping us advance the partnership’s program portfolio.
Responsibilities:
- Administrative support of UIDP programs and initiatives, including federal awards
- Assist in program planning and organizing, including implementation of processes
- Create and maintain program records and files,including electronic and paper records
- Research, analyze, compile, and present information and reports. Disseminate information to appropriate parties.
- Coordination of, and communication with, targeted groups of UIDP member representatives and external stakeholders
- Assist with the development of program marketing materials and updating web pages
- Work with the team to draft grant proposals
- Maintain spreadsheets, program timelines, and task lists
- Schedule large group meetings
- Create surveys, collect responses, analyze responses, and communicate results to staff
- Perform general activities for UIDP initiatives as well as provide support for other ongoing activities

Qualifications – Required
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience
· Good written, oral, interpersonal, and organizational skills
· Excellent time-management skills
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while giving attention to small details
· Positive and professional attitude
· Technology literate and proficient in the use of MS Office 365
· Ability to learn new skills and technologies quickly
· Able to work well on your own and troubleshoot and resolve issues independently
· Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task
Qualifications – Big Pluses
· Experience with grant writing or grant management
· Advanced skills in the use of spreadsheet formulas (MS Excel or Smartsheet Reporting and Dashboards)
· Experience working with membership organizations

LOCATION
This position is located in Columbia, SC, USA. UIDP operates under a hybrid work schedule, and staff works at least three days per week in the office. This is a unique opportunity to work locally but have a global reach!
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
This full-time position offers a competitive salary benchmarked against similar positions and a generous benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, 401k, and paid time off.
