Herzog Glass, a South Seattle Glazing Contractor is looking for an experienced Project Accountant with at least three years of well-rounded accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Project Accountant Duties:

Preparing monthly construction draws

Assembles client billings package in accordance with contract terms and conditions and follows up appropriately to ensure on-time payment.

Invoice Submissions through Textura, Prolog, Procore, GCPay, etc.

Review expenses at month end to ensure accurate coding and report on budget vs. actual performance

Track payments made by customer and provide up to date Lien Releases.

Verify subcontract Agreements and change orders for accuracy and make updates to the accounting system.

Support to a construction project team providing basic accounting, data entry, reporting and analysis for the project

Develops and maintains strong customer focused relationships

Maintain subcontract documents utilizing an electronic filing system.

Other Accounting Duties:

Working relationship with various departments and personnel

Responsible for answering facilities and main office accounting inquires

Identify opportunities for process improvements.

Assist with B & O tax returns, liability accruals, and various reporting

Collection calls on past due accounts

Assist with Service Department Billing and collections

Cross Train on Cash Receipts, Journal entries, GL and bank account reconciliations

Working relationship with various departments and personnel

Applicant will be expected to use the following Dexter Chaney—Spectrum modules: AP, AR, GL, JC, and PR.

Qualifications:

Proven strong work ethic and time management

Must be well organized and a self-starter

Strong analytical skills

General understanding of General Ledger

Ability to interact with employees, customers, and vendors in a professional manner

Ability to work independently and with a team with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness

Able to set goals and complete assigned tasks accurately, timely and consistently

Proficient in Microsoft Office, i.e., Excel, Word, Teams & Outlook

Process and procedure driven, ethical, with strong interpersonal skills.

Salary Depends on experience.
