Description/Job Summary
The Project Manager is responsible for the leadership of project teams to deliver projects for Resources for Human Development. The Project Manager I manages resources, schedules, and budgets for RHD technology projects through the project lifecycle. This position runs projects on a day-to-day basis.
Responsibilities/Duties
Role Requirements:
- Performs day-to-day management of all phases of the project including: requirements, design, development, test, and deployment.
- Management of complex infrastructure and applications projects.
- Manages resource planning and assignment of projects.
- Define project team member rolls.
- Ensure all projects have clearly defined scope and schedules
- Monitor project deliverables and progress through continuous communication with project team, stakeholders, and appropriate management teams.
- Completed critical path analysis and risk assessments.
- Ensure projects are successfully handed off to support, and post implementation review, and acceptance are completed.
- Monitors cost to provide accounting support for project time, material, and services.
- Ensure purchasing policies are followed in the vendor selection process.
- Work with internal and external project teams to discuss project, issues, and status.
- Partner with technology governance on new project selection, and updates on new projects.
- Oversee the selection, acquisition, development, installation, and deployment of technology for RHD.
- Ensure that all technology projects have clear business goals and success metrics.
- Monitor and Report on project actual vs expected results including: time, budget, and resources.
Required Experience
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects.
- Strong leadership, diplomatic and motivational skills including the ability to lead up, across and down multiple business and technology organizations.
- Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence.
- Build and maintain relationships by engaging business leaders to establish credibility, solve problems, build consensus and achieve objectives.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with healthcare or healthcare related organizations
- Self-motivated, decisive, with the ability to adapt to change and competing demands.
- Experience leading, motivating and managing various project and program team sizes, including internal and external resources, while holding team accountable for performance
Required Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Technology, Project Management, Communications, Business, or related field is preferred. Experience in lieu of degree is acceptable.
- Project Management Certification is preferred
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years-experience in technology environment with roles of increasing responsibility.
- Minimum of 4 years direct or matrix supervision of staff; 6 years with Associates; 8 years with High School Diploma
- Minimum of 3 years-experience working with business stakeholders; 5 years with Associates; 7 years with High School Diploma
- Minimum of 3 years-experience working with and managing vendors; 5 years with Associates; 7 years with High School Diploma
- Minimum 3 years-experience managing projects in a healthcare environment; 5 years with Associates; 7 years with High School Diploma.

RHD employees and programs in the City of Philadelphia are required to follow the COVID vaccine mandate. Revised PDPH guidance allows for new hires to be partially vaccinated at the time of hire. This means they have received at least one shot in a two-dose series or a single dose in a one-dose series before beginning in-person shifts. The final dose must be received within4 weeks of hire (start date). This currently does not include boosters.
