General Summary:

This Course Development Project Manager position acts as an operational lead for the course development process workflow to ensure that all timelines for student launch are met while maintaining quality assurances and guidelines for delivery based on Academic learning models, team goals and initiatives.

The CDPM will coordinate the process of CD project submission, screening, routing, and overall process flow, and will serve as the primary liaison for the project management system for CD including establishing and maintaining project templates, project timelines, report templates, process flow templates, submission templates, and reporting to CD leadership.

The CDPM will report out on team capacity, help identify process opportunities, and flag to leadership any challenges to stated timelines or deliverables. This position coordinates with all other project managers, team members, and external teams to project requests are accurate and complete, and that projects are delivered on scheduled timelines.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

• Work to set up CD’s project management system including assisting in the development of needed project templates, process flows, report templates, submission templates, and all other aspects of CD workflow.
• Plan for and set-up workflow balance throughout the developmental process with other project managers to ensure that all courses are complete and accurate prior to launch dates. Actively review to avoid issues with launches and major revision projects.
• Plan major projects with VP of Educational Technology and quarterly Academic timelines and workloads for team members. Partner to ensure productivity measures and team expectations are met.
• Communicate with clear, professional, thorough messages with Academics, Web, IT Support, and CEC teams as well as all team members and managers to facilitate information, processes, requests, and solutions.
• Take a lead role on improving team productivity through reporting, creation of templates, processes, and tools that allow all team members to use on a regular basis to decrease production time of course materials.
• Employ the High Performance Principles to daily work and employ team goals and imperatives on an annual basis.
• Other duties as assigned or requested.

Education & Knowledge:

• Bachelor degree in education, instructional design, project management, or a related field +2 years of project management or experience in the field

Skills & Abilities:

• Knowledge of the communication process, the ability to understand and edit Subject
• Ability to work on multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
• Ability to think creatively and conceptually to understand instructional needs
• Strong written and verbal communication skills necessary
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, self-starter, flexible, and detail-oriented 24/7, results-oriented environment. This position requires the ability to efficiently manage, maintain, and track the workflow of development for multiple programs at once
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with several internal and external teams
• Strong problem-solving skills, project management skills, and time management skills
• Leadership abilities, forward-thinking and productively efficient.
• Computer efficiency in Microsoft Office software and InMotion project management software
