Job Purpose
Responsible for receiving, inspecting, and recording shipments. Responsible for unloading packages and checking their contents to ensure they match respective orders.
Essential Functions
- Receives food and beverage items for various departments in the hotel and verifies the contents of the shipment with the invoice/packing slip.
- Verifies accuracy of quantity, weight, specification, and price for each shipment against hotel requirements and purchase orders.
- Receives, rotates, and stores all product using the First In First Out (FIFO) method.
- Fills all requisitions for hotel departments through verification of product, verification authorized signatures, and delivery of the products to the specified department per delivery instructions.
- Notifies Purchasing Managers of low-par and out-of-stock merchandise.
- Assists in conducting month-end inventories.
- Maintains cleanliness of purchasing storeroom on a daily basis.
- Other duties as assigned.
