Position Description:
PVT Engineers are the 'first line of defense' regarding functional system quality for the products produced at the assembly plant (co-located with the vehicle production team).
Job Description:
- Electrical/Module PVT Engineer for U725 (Bronco)/P375 (Ranger) programs
- Lead ongoing improvements to quality of the Bronco/Ranger programs on modules/systems
- Manage projects for Design, Supplier Quality, and Process issues
- Support quality related meetings and subsequent report outs at the plant and with the D&R team
- Drive release and implementation of containment actions with assembly plant, suppliers, and D&R engineers.
- Develop plans to meet quality objectives.
- Coordinate/Support engineering change trials.
- Support fresh eyes reviews for pre-builds.
- Support Launch on Major and Minor programs.
- Approve Alerts and Concerns in WERS.
- Sign off SREA's as needed
- Utilize external and internal quality data to develop ICA/PCA actions for in-plant quality concerns and external warranty claims.
- Trial and implement TVM cost save ideas.
Qualifications:
- BS in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or closely related field of study
- Experience as product/quality engineer, preferably in electrical/modules
- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
- Good communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to work well with people, specifically in assembly plant environment
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office application
