Quality Assurance Manager Assistant

A leading Metal Finishing company in East Williamsburg, NY, is looking for an Assistant to our Quality Assurance Manager to join their growing team! They offer excellent benefits and a 401k plan.

Requirements:

• Understanding and knowledge of quality control tests, methods, and standards.
• Able to manage and supervise work team
• Knowledge of ISO and NADCAP Quality systems
• Understand quality process and protocols
• Effective written and oral communication
• Strong attention to detail and organization

Assistant to the Quality Assurance Manager (A-QAMgr)

• The Assistant to the Quality Assurance Manager will report to the Quality Assurance Manager
• The A-QA Mgr will assist in audit preparation.
• The A-QA Mgr will be responsible for the filing and review of QA related test reports, certifications, and certificates of analysis.
• The A-QA Mgr will be responsible for outside testing, distribution and collection of samples, and shipping to test facilities.
• The A-QA Mgr assists with the day-to-day Quality functions of the facility as deemed necessary by the Quality Assurance Manager – this includes review of incoming work by interpreting drawings and specifications for coating requirements, managing inspectors, and distributing work. Performing First Articles when necessary or be the primary inspector on critical hardware, being able to calibrate and operate measuring equipment for thickness testing, reflectivity, and handheld manual inspection gauges. Creating Certifications of completed work.
• The A-QA Mgr will assume the duties of the Quality Assurance manager, aiding the General Manager until such time as a replacement is found.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
