We need a diverse workforce to do our best work. We need the makers, the forward thinkers, the problem solvers, and everything in between. That is where you come in. We have an immediate hiring need for a full-time **Quality Engineer **located at our manufacturing facility in Ladysmith, WI.
Job Summary:
Develops, evaluates, revises, and applies technical quality assurance protocols/methods to inspect and test in-process raw materials, production equipment, and finished products. Ensures activities and items are in compliance with both company quality assurance standards and applicable government regulations. Performs analysis and identifies trends in the inspection of finished products, in-process materials and bulk raw materials, and recommends corrective actions when necessary. Ensures that established manufacturing inspection, sampling and statistical process control procedures are followed. Ensures compliance with internal and external specifications and standards such as ISO regulations. Evaluates and analyzes the efforts in organizing, documenting, and interpreting inspection support documents and records.
Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
Drive efforts to improve internal defects per unit (DPU), Rolled Throughput Yield Loss (RTYL), external Parts Per Million (PPM), reduce scrap and improve quality in the manufacturing operation.
Develop and evaluate processes using capability studies, process control plans, analysis of out-of-control conditions and process audits to improve performance and capability.
Resolve manufacturing problems to assure a continuing flow of production.
Demonstrate an awareness of lean manufacturing concepts and practices.
Lead Kaizen events and other productivity and cost reduction initiatives to achieve plant targets.
Uses standard problem-solving techniques and tools to identify root cause and develop corrective actions. Utilize A3 methodology to determine root cause and develop / implement steps that resolve problems.
Work with manufacturing labor standards, production routings, manufacturing work instructions, and SAP system needs to maintain production. Utilizes factory automation software to monitor and maintain production.
Provide design input and execution support for the development and deployment of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and information management systems in the plant.
Participate in Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA)

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering field of study
- Legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years of Quality Engineering experience
- Advanced data analysis including knowledge of advanced Excel and PowerBI capabilities
- ISO documentation systems knowledge and experience
- Familiarity with SAP
